Architect / Architectural Planner
Serves as an Architectural Planner, designs structures for human use, such as office buildings or residential complexes. Ensure that a structure is safe and functional. Studies issues affecting U.S. Coast Guard’s community and make recommendations about where buildings, public utilities, and other structures should be located. Worked with local governments and officials to ensure that a community's land is used as best as possible. Assist with the short and long-term operation plans for the Planning and Building Safety as it relates to planning application submittals and building permit applications. Review and apply the design guidelines to planning applications such as for building designs, landscaping, signs, site plans, and related applications during the land development process.

Civil Engineer / Cost Engineer
Serves as an Independent Government Cost Engineer, spearhead and estimate large and complex Civil Works Projects. Spearhead Military Construction cost estimates from budgetary to a concept, to detail construction bid estimate. Implement complex projects include dams and concrete structure, slurry wall, deep soil mix, and jet grouting for levee construction; aircraft runways and bridges. Independently focuses on project items that pose critical problems of performance requirements versus costs and develops cost estimates of an alternative to recommend most cost-efficient alternatives to designers, typically requiring deviation from standard practices and methods. My responsibility entails me to investigate construction sites, studies project feasibility, conducts detailed design development, analyzes risks, safety and deadlines, I also introduce logic and creativity in the project design.

Civil Engineer / Cost Engineer
Served as an Independent Government Cost Engineer emphasized in preparing large and complex Civil Works Projects. Military Construction cost estimates from budgetary to a concept, to detail construction bid estimate. Complex projects include dams and concrete structure, slurry wall, deep soil mix, and jet grouting for levee construction; aircraft runways and bridges. Independently focuses on project items that pose critical problems of performance requirements versus costs and develops cost estimates of an alternative to recommend most cost-efficient alternatives to designers, typically requiring deviation from standard practices and methods.  Served as a project development team member for cost and price analyzes in a construction modification totaling over $16 million. February 2014, I used Auto CAD 2014/Civil 3-D to help estimate surface volumes and balancing earthwork volumes for the Fort Irwin hospital project.

Checks Architecture/Engineering construction documents from A/E firm for consistency and to make sure construction documents comply with the final project. Visited construction site with Contractors and oversees the construction process to ensure a viable construction product. Managed and made sure all designs are feasible and solve construction problems before contracting. Managed all construction estimate by making sure costs are related to construction projects and by managing the percentage of competition. CAD Coordinator, maintain Auto CAD software product and keeps office license updated. Provided design assistance to the engineering section. Also managed all topographic surveying using a total station. Other duties consisted of IAS, micro purchaser, and check writer. 02/2001 - 10/2006
Design Engineer Tech
During my tenure with the Natural Resource Conservation Service, State design staff, designed and drafted floodwater retarding structures. Such as reinforced concrete dams, earth dams, waterways, pipelines, and channels. Computed volume estimates and material requirements for projects cost $30,000 to over a million dollars. All work was done with the use of Auto CAD Land Development and Civil 3D.   Designed and layout the State office for remodeling also designed an office for new construction. Layout two services center each housed four government agencies. In 2005,  designed over Twenty Emergency Watershed Project average cost of each project $50,000 and two major water retarding structure averaged cost over a million dollars. Listed as the State's contact person for Auto CAD.
